Knock dancers compete in competitions all over
Canada throughout the year. They compete with other
dancers in their age group and level of dance.
Those levels are divided into: Beginner; Advanced
Beginner; Novice; Prizewinner; Preliminary
Championship; and Open Championship.
Prelim and Open level dancers compete at the Western
Canadian Oireachtas every year in hopes of
qualifying for Nationals and Worlds!
Here are some pictures of our dancers at
competitions.

Notice the extravagant costumes
and the curly hair, some hair is curled, others
are wearing wigs.
Boys of course do not curl their hair, but do have
tidy hair and wear Knock School shirts. When boys
move up to Preliminary competitions they wear
different colored shirts, ties and vests.

Girls wear Knock School dresses until they move
up to Preliminary competitions where they wear
solo dresses (the very colorful and sparkly
ones.)
